Greg Litvanyi

Greg Litvanyi is the President and founder of 251 Forensic Fire Investigations Ltd., bringing more than 35 years of experience in fire investigation, emergency response, and fire service leadership. Over his career, he has completed more than 1,000 fire and explosion investigations involving residential, commercial, industrial, vehicle, marine, and equipment losses.

Recognized as an expert witness in the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan and the Court of King’s Bench, Greg is known for his evidence‑driven approach, clear reporting, and strong investigative methodology. His background includes decades with Yorkton Fire Protective Services—advancing from firefighter to Deputy Chief of Operations and Training—as well as roles in private‑sector fire investigation and fire‑service instruction.

Greg holds multiple professional certifications, including CFEI, CVFI, and CFII, along with extensive fire‑service qualifications across operations, investigation, inspection, instruction, and industrial firefighting. He is an active member of CAFI, NAFI, and IAAI.

Since founding 251 Forensic Fire Investigations in 2021, Greg has led the company’s expansion across Western Canada, adding new investigators and offices to meet growing demand for high‑quality forensic fire investigation services.
